Amelia's First Thanksgiving

I'm feeling especially thankful and happy this Thanksgiving holiday. My dear sweet Grandma is still with us, but the past week of knowing she is most likely in her final days has really given me a different perspective. It's fine to be thankful for the material things that we have, but it's the relationships in our lives that make us rich. I'm very thankful for my wonderful friends and family and especially my precious little Amelia.

We had a wonderful and quiet Thanksgiving at our home with Chad's parents. It was a very relaxing day hanging out together and playing with Amelia. And...of course there was plenty of eating:)

Fun Filled Weekend!

Gramma and Grampa came to visit this weekend and we did lots of fun things!

Walking at Radnor Lake....Amelia fell asleep:)

Played with Grampa.

Chilling with Grampa and ready to cheer on the Huskers!

Enjoying the beautiful weather at "I Dream Of Wienie" in East Nashville.

Getting a thrill ride from Uncle Adam!

Wishing Uncle Jeremy a Happy Birthday at his Birthday Dinner.

Looking at Leaves with Gramma.

Getting a Kiss from Mommy.

What do we have here?

Some Teeth!!!! Here are my attempts at photographing those little teeth....pretty tricky with a not so cooperative little tongue getting in the way. I got one where you can see those little tooth buds. They seemed to appear out of nowhere, however considering the river of drool we've been noticing lately I'm not too surprised. Such a cute little toothy smile she has:)

Cuteness Overload

Just a few random pics that are just too cute not to share:)

Perfect Day

This past Sunday was just such a perfect day! We started out the morning by meeting Chad's parents for brunch at Puckett's in downtown Franklin. They had come down on Saturday to babysit Amelia all day while Chad and I had a date:) That was wonderful! After brunch on Sunday we said goodbye to Nana and Pop Pop and headed to the Greenway for a nice long walk. The weather was amazing and Amelia loves being out on a walk and hearing all the sounds and seeing the trees above her. I love pushing the stroller and looking down at her smiling little face:) After an invigorating walk we set up a blanket at Centennial Park and relaxed. Amelia took in the sights and sounds...people walking, dogs barking, squirrels running around, leaves falling and we all really enjoyed ourselves. I'm sad to see fall going away as the leaves are almost all off the trees. I'm also just shocked that it's already November. Where has this year gone? As I get older time just goes faster and faster. I'm trying to take it all in and savor every moment.

Amelia's First Halloween

It's so much fun to have all these "first" experiences with Amelia. I know her first Halloween was more fun for us than it was for her. She dressed up as a pretty little flower and boy was she cute! We went to the Green Hills Mall and walked around showing her off and checked out all the other little dressed up kiddos.

Annual Pumpkin Carving Party

To Gramma's House We Go.....

Last month, October 22nd-26th we traveled to Nebraska for Amelia's first time to Gramma and Grampa Bose's house. We had such a great time. Since if I typed paragraph form of what all we did it would make for a huge blog post...I'll make a little list for ya:

1. Amelia rode on an airplane and did wonderful!
2. Amelia got to meet her Great Grandma Petersen for the 1st time! It was so sweet and special.
3. Amelia loved all Gramma's new baby things...playmat, high chair, toys and slept perfect in her pack n play.
4. Me, Chad and my parents played Greed when Amelia went to bed.
5. Me, Chad and my mom went to the mall where Amelia rode a carousal and got a new dress from Gramma:)
6. Jen ate Amigos and Chad ate Panda Express...neither of which we can get in Nashville.
7. Amelia got to meet lots of family: Aunt Dianne and Uncle David, Uncle Kenneth and Aunt Carol, Aunt Betty, Cousin Candy, Aunt Joan and Uncle Dan, Uncle Norm and Aunt Sheri.
8. Amelia wore her Husker clothes for Game Day!
9. Amelia, Chad and I walked at Pioneer Park while the others watched the game.
10. Gramma Babysat Amelia while we took in a Husker girl's volleyball game.
11. Grampa made Amelia laugh...the only time she laughed the whole time we were there:)
12. I got to introduce Amelia to some good friends, Scott and Andrea and their 3 little girls.
13. Ate a Runza.
14. Did lots more....but most of all had a wonderful time!

Amelia's First Flight

On October 22, 2009 Amelia took her first airplane ride. She did so good. We were pretty flustered getting her through security as we didn't know we had to take her out of her car seat and send her stroller and everything through the x-ray machine. Our flight was only 1 1/2 hours and she was happy and smiling for the 1st part and then took a nap and then I fed her the last 15 minutes as we landed. Gramma and Grampa Bose were there at the airport eagerly awaiting her arrival:)

Here is a little video of her on the plane.
